Roberto Fonseca, the Cuban soul
On his new album, La Gran Diversion, Fonseca pays tribute to the golden age of Cuban music, the wild nights of Havana and a famous Parisian club from the 1930s, La Cabane Cubaine. “I sometimes think that I wasn’t born in the right era. That’s why I wanted to recreate that atmosphere in my new project, not by covering tunes from those years, but by writing new songs.
